Connect Google Business Profile to ChatGPT and Claude
The address to copy, the steps for each AI, and the first requests to try on your Google profile.
Connector address (MCP server)
https://mcp.sorbey.co/mcpThis is the address you paste into your AI at the “add a connector” step.
Before you start
- A Sorbey account, with your Google profile connected. Create my account
- Be an owner or manager of the profile on Google.
- A Claude account (any plan) or a ChatGPT account (paid plan).
Add Sorbey to your AI
Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu plans, on chatgpt.com. ChatGPT Free can't add a connector. At work, your admin may need to allow it.
- Open Settings, then “Security and login”, and turn on Developer mode.
- Go to the ChatGPT apps page (chatgpt.com/plugins) and click “+”.
- Enter a name (Sorbey) and paste the connector address into the connection field.
- Confirm: a Sorbey page opens. Sign in and allow access.
- In a conversation, open the “+” menu, choose Developer mode, then Sorbey.
ChatGPT asks you to confirm before every action that changes your profile.
Every plan, Free included (one custom connector on Free), on claude.ai and in the Claude app.
- Open “Customize”, then “Connectors”.
- Click “+”, then “Add custom connector”.
- Paste the connector address. Leave the advanced settings empty, then click “Add”.
- Click “Connect”: a Sorbey page opens. Sign in and allow access.
- In a conversation, turn on Sorbey from the “+” button, under “Connectors”.
Team and Enterprise plans: an organization owner adds the connector first (Organization settings, then Connectors); each member then clicks “Connect”.
For teams who work in the terminal.

Your AI doesn't offer custom connectors? Email us and we'll tell you if it's compatible.
The first time you connect, a Sorbey page opens: sign in with your Sorbey account and allow access. Your AI only sees the profiles in your account.
Five requests to get started
Paste them into your AI once Sorbey is connected.
- List my Google profiles connected to Sorbey.
- Which reviews from this month don't have a reply yet?
- Suggest a short reply to each 5-star review, then publish the ones I approve.
- Sum up what customers say about us in their recent reviews.
- Rewrite my profile description and send it to Google.

The connector also exposes tools reserved for existing Sorbey customers (events, blog, website, social media). They aren't part of this offer.
Security and control
- Connecting your profile goes through Google's official screen. Sorbey never sees your password.
- Your AI only acts on the profiles in your Sorbey account, according to your role (owner, manager or viewer).
- ChatGPT and Claude ask for your OK before using a tool that changes your profile.
- To cut access: remove Sorbey from your AI's connectors, or revoke Sorbey's access from your Google account.
Troubleshooting
Common issues and how to fix them.
- The connection fails or the sign-in page doesn't come back
- Check the address: https://mcp.sorbey.co/mcp, over https, with /mcp at the end. If the Sorbey page opens but the return step fails, sign in to sorbey.co in another tab first, then try again: the authorization expires after a few minutes.
- “You don't have access to this location”
- Your AI sees the profiles and roles in your Sorbey account as they are now, including a profile added after you connected. If the error persists, check your role on that profile in Sorbey: a viewer can read it but not change it.
- I asked for a change, but my Google profile hasn't changed
- Updates are sent to Google in the background. Google can take a few minutes, sometimes longer, to show the change, and some changes go through a review by Google. Ask your AI to re-read the profile to see where the update stands.
- The AI can't find my profile by name
- The tools accept the profile's name, ID or slug. If two profiles share the same name, add the city, or ask your AI to list your profiles first.
- “Too many requests” error (429)
- The connector limits the number of calls per minute. Wait a minute and try again. If it keeps happening in normal use, email us.
Still stuck? Send your AI's name, what you asked and the error message to contact@sorbey.co. We reply within one business day.
